Leo M. Jones II: Introduction: I am a well worn-body housing a human spirit conceived in a moment of passion. My spirit and body are nurtured in an extended family that has faith in the life of the spirit extending past death. My childhood seems a kind of paradise. Rescued from World War II by a wound, I became immersed in theatre, which reflects the human spirit, revealing what is inside. My marriage and raising five children focuses me on working for the common good of society. My hopes are challenged by the shadows of selfishness and ignorance, but I’m supported by habits of kindness, forgiveness, the art of living in hope and finding beauty in the day-to-day routines, Assaulted by cancer and a heart attack, I recognize the mortality of my body and rejoice in my spirit, guided toward survival by Common Sense. The God of Common Sense: A Spiritual Journey is my memoir which reflects on my spiritual life.
